Therapy Investment

BECAUSE YOUR LIFE GETS TO BE BIGGER THAN THIS

Yes, therapy is an investment.

And we’re not just talking about the money.

Therapy asks for your time, energy, vulnerability, and willingness to do things differently; sometimes before you feel completely ready.

Because showing up for yourself might mean challenging a food rule that feels incredibly convincing. Sitting with an intrusive thought without trying to solve it. Doing something imperfectly on purpose. Or questioning a belief about yourself that you’ve carried around for years.

This work isn’t always easy. But neither is staying stuck.

So, what could be on the other side of saying yes to therapy?

Going out to dinner without checking the menu hours beforehand. Ordering what sounds good instead of what feels safest. Eating birthday cake without figuring out how to “make up for it” tomorrow. Realizing you went a whole afternoon without thinking about food.

Leaving the house without turning around to check one more time. Going somewhere because you want to, even when your brain gives you a dozen reasons why you shouldn’t. Making a decision without needing someone else to reassure you that it was the right one. Hearing an intrusive thought without immediately needing to figure out what it means.

Watching someone else succeed without immediately wondering whether you’re falling behind. Sending the text without rereading it six times. Trying something you might not be good at. Letting someone see the messy, imperfect, still-figuring-it-out version of you.

Therapy already asks you to step into the unknown; figuring out the logistics shouldn’t. Below, you’ll find clear information about fees, payment, and practice policies, so you know exactly what to expect before we get started.

Session Fees

Individual Therapy (50 minutes) - $250

Coming Soon: Group Therapy (60 minutes) - $100

Insurance & Payment

The Within Collective is a private-pay, out-of-network practice, which means I do not accept insurance directly.

However, many insurance plans include out-of-network benefits that may reimburse you for a portion of the cost of therapy. If you’d like to use these benefits, I can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Because every plan is different, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits, deductible, and reimbursement rate. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance company and cannot be guaranteed.

Here are a few questions you may want to ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient psychotherapy/mental health services?

  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, how much is it, and how much have I already met?

  • Once my deductible is met, what percentage of the allowed amount will my plan reimburse?

  • Do I need prior authorization or a referral to receive out-of-network mental health services?

  • How do I submit a superbill or claim for reimbursement?

  • Is there a deadline for submitting claims?

Payment is due at the time of each session. All major credit cards, as well as HSA and FSA cards, are accepted.

Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

Your session time is set aside specifically for you. Because this time is reserved exclusively for your care, my policy states that at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee.

I also know that life happens. Unexpected circumstances can come up, and those situations will always be approached with care, consideration, and reasonable flexibility.
